There is a problem in one of the questions. The name ananás is correct as a synonymous of abacaxi in different parts of Brazil and other Latin countries that adopted indigenous names to name different things. This is one of the reasons why we use scientific names for organisms: to avoid this kind of misunderstanding. In this way, you should replace ananás or abacaxi by another fruit name. Hugs. Anderson
